My husband was well looked after until the chemotherapy stopped working. He was fobbed off with chemo tablets, which were given by a nurse.this nurse wasn’t sure when asked questions. She kept going out the room and ringing up to find the answers. I tried to get a appointment with Dr Raouf but unsuccessful. You can imagine this has been very stressful. My husband thinks he has been put on the scrap heap. All we wanted was some answers to our questions. Five minutes of his time would do. Improvements should be made. I suggest more consultations. With the patients, especially when the news is bad.

Dr Raouf cared for my mother for over 5 years. From the moment I met him he was warm, kind, reassuring, honest with his feedback, highly knowledgeable and open to working together to create the best treatment plan for my mother. Whilst I always knew that my mother could not be cured, Dr Raouf's treatment plan enabled my mother to enjoy so many more years of quality life. My mother adored Dr Raouf and she would always come away from the consultations with renewed strength for the continuing journey. In relation to myself, I trusted Dr Raouf's judgement completely and I was also grateful for his listening, interest and guidance with ideas I bought for discussion. The team working alongside Dr Raouf were also second to none and I am grateful for all the support mum and I were given over the years. I cannot recommend Dr Raouf and his team highly enough.

Dr Raouf took care of me after my bowel cancer op and he took time to listen to my concerns and explained everything I wanted to know! I have just come to the end of five years under he and his team's care, and I cannot thank them and his team enough including the chemo unit! Going through cancer is not easy, but with a doctor like he, you know that you will make it, and you cannot thank someone enough for giving you more time on earth to be with your family and grandchildren growing up!! Many thanks!
